Florentine Paesina Stone Landscape (Stonescape), Small – Unframed Natural Marble Art

Paesina, also called landscape stone or Florentine marble, is an Eocene limestone.

Known as Paesine or landscape stone, Florentine Marble is constituted of Eocene limestone blocks, which lie buried not very deep below ground.

Over centuries, water carrying iron and magnesium oxide has trickled through these blocks and gradually colored them.

Craftsmanship in cutting these blocks reveals the fantastic landscape scenes hidden within these blocks.
